On this page we aim to provide you with information about some common problems you may encounter while using one of our public access computers within a Leeds Library.
If you encounter any problems not mentioned here, please let our branch staff know and they will be able to pass these on to our support team for investigation. Please be aware that we are not currently able to offer a helpdesk service for the public. If you would like an answer about a problem, please give your contact details to our staff who can log a call for you and will be happy to get back to you with more information at a later date.
We aim to make our service as reliable as possible, but our computer systems and software, along with the wider internet, are very complex and often involve services from many different organisations so things do go wrong. If we can't fix an issue, we will aim to add information here to help you work round the problem in future.
Problems with Sites being blocked
Our internet access is filtered and aims to allow you to access content appropriate to your agegroup. This is done by checking the age we have for you on your library account and logging you on to the Leeds Learning Internet service with an appropriate login. Sometimes, this process can fail and you may be given the wrong level. Normally this means that an Adult user will be blocked from sites by mistake. If this happens, please speak to a member of staff. They can logout of Leeds Learning Network by clicking the link below and then log back in with a more appropriate guest login for you.Please be aware, this link will completely log you out of the internet for the rest of your booking and should only be done by staff to allow use of a guest login.
